How to Power Cycle a Qolsys IQ Panel 2, IQ Panel 4, and IQ 5 Series

To Power Cycle a Qolsys IQ Panel 2, IQ Panel 4, and IQ 4 Hub

  1. If possible, turn off through panel programming first. If this is not possible, move to step 2.
    • Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Enter Dealer/Installer/Master User Code > Power Down to turn off the Qolsys panel.
  2. Unplug the power supply from the wall outlet
    • In the event that the panel is wall mounted, the panel will still be powered by a a power supply plugged into a wall outlet. The plug may be located in a basement, closest, or attic if not nearby. The panel should not be connected to mains.
  3. Open the panel and disconnect the internal battery.
    • Make sure the internal battery is not bloated or swollen as this is signs of a bad battery.
  4. Leave the panel powered down for at least 2 minutes.
  5. Plug the battery back in, close up the panel and reconnect the power supply
  6. Press the button on the side of the panel for about 3-5 seconds to turn it back on.
