You do not need to perform a hard reset in order to get your system connected; however, you will need to perform a cell test.

A cell phone test is one of the important steps when getting connected to suretyDIY, and is a good test to ensure your system is communicating. This video shows where to find this test on your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or 4.

If the cell test fails, then it is recommended that you perform a power cycle on the system. The steps to do so can be found here:
