This guide covers some common programming choices for PowerG sensors wth the Qolsys IQ Panel 2/2+, and 4 alarm panels.
Below is the pathway taken at the panel to access sensor programming. We recommend manually programming the sensor.
To do so, tap Settings > Advanced Settings > enter installer code > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors.
Use the Add Sensor option and this will open the sensor configuration page. First set the Source field near the bottom right to PowerG. From there, enter the sensor’s 7-digit ID printed on the sensor (and on the box it comes in) in the appropriate field and program the remainder of the fields as desired.
PowerG sensors can be enrolled using the Auto Enroll Feature but each sensor has a different trigger for this (outlined below)
Using the QR code to auto learn the sensor using the Wizard is not currently recommended.
When manually programming, the sensor may report as “Not-Networked” indicating it has not communicated with the panel. This may resolve on its own but if not, you will need to tamper the sensor.
