IQ PANEL 2 & 2 PLUS - 2.5.3 SOFTWARE UPDATE
RELEASE NOTES & UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

New Features:
• New Panel settings for Panel Ambient Noise Detector to adjust noise threshold and duration. This feature is
designed for MDU settings where noise complaints are a concern and can be turned on in place of using the
built-in Panel Glass Break. Alarm.com support for this feature will be added to the backend in the future
• LiveAnswer support on the Panel for video devices with non standard aspect ratio streaming
• Future support for Z-Wave 700 series daughter cards
• New drop down in the Easy Install Wizard to change the language to 1 of 13 different languages
• New page added to the Easy Install Wizard with QR Code links to download the Alarm.com app for Android and iOS
• The Easy Install Wizard now provides contextual help screens with additional information like how to pair and test Door/Window and Motion sensors
• Added the following new languages to the Panel: German, Danish, Portuguese, Hungarian & Romanian

PowerG Improvements:
• Support for the new PowerG Wired to Wireless Converter (PG9WLSHW8).
• Up to 2 converters can be added on a single Panel
• Support for regular zone types as well as 2-wire smokes, 4-wire smokes, 4-wire CO’s and up to 4 PGM’s (programmable outputs) is included on each converter
• PowerG Modem Firmware Version 2.38
• Support for Prox Tags when used with the Visonic PowerG Wireless Keypads (KP141 & KP241)
• Added support for Fire Trouble and Dirty Detector on the Panel and Alarm.com when using PowerG Smoke Detectors
• Probe Disconnected trouble condition supported on PG9905 Temperature Sensors
• Panel now supports the ability to disable the Reed switch and Aux input on the PG9309 & PG9312 as well as the Aux input on the PG9945 during disarm, significantly extending battery life on high traffic doors
• PG9945 and PG9309 Door/Window Sensors can now be learned in twice (auto then manual add); once for the internal Reed switch and a second time for the Aux input
• The Alarm.com backend now supports the Not Networked status in the event history when a PowerG sensor is learned into the panel, does not complete network association and goes in to RF Sensor failure

Other Fixes/Improvements:
• New functionality to allow disarming from the main Panel during an exit delay when the original arming command came from an IQ Remote, PowerG Keypad or Keyfob
• Improvement to allow IQ Remotes to pair to routers using the Protected Management Frame (PMF) protocol
• 500 series Eaton Z-Wave switches are now supported (RF9601, RF9617, RF9640-N & RF9642-Z)
• Audible and visual indication of dual-path path failures for Panels with the EN Grade 2 setting enabled
• Improvement to Swinger Shutdown behavior. When a sensor has reached its swinger shutdown limit, the next sensor event will cause the Panel to send a swinger shutdown event to Alarm.com
• Help videos for each of the 13 language on the Panel are now supported
• Added support for 3 new Sensor Groups giving additional flexibility to the way Keypads, Keyfobs and Panic Buttons can be programmed: (3) Mobile Silent, (5) Fixed Silent Auxiliary, (7) Mobile Silent Auxiliary
• Improved the built-in Z-Wave Diagnostics Map on the Panel when using the Z-Wave 6.81 SDK to include RSSI values and the ability to move devices on the map
• Various improvements to meet EN50131-1 standard

Update Instructions:

Compatibility Note: Your IQ Panel must be on software version 2.0.1 - 2.4.2, or 2.5.2 and connected to Wi-Fi to install this update wirelessly. Panels running version 2.5.0 and 2.5.1 are not eligible to update to 2.5.3 directly at this time and must be updated to 2.5.2 from Alarm.com first. A separate process to update 2.5.0 and 2.5.1 panels directly to 2.5.3 will be released in the coming few weeks.

1- Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch “Settings"
2- Touch “Advanced Settings”
3- Enter a valid installer code (default is 1111)
4- Touch “Upgrade Software”
5 -Touch “Patch Tag” and enter the patch iqpanel2.5.3 then touch OK
6- Touch “Upgrade Using Network” (panel must be connected to Wi-Fi). Update will download and install
7- Once complete touch “OK” to reboot the panel. DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN. The update process will take approximately 5 minutes. After the panel reboots the home screen will appear and the LED will turn green.
