Users can add Wi-Fi Genie and Overhead Door garage door openers to their Alarm.com systems and take full advantage of our smart automation and remote control features.
Requirements
Compatible mobile versions:
iOS device with firmware version 8.0+
Android device with firmware version 2.1+
Alarm.com mobile app version 4.10.4+
Current versions of the Aladdin Connect or OHD Anywhere mobile apps
Note: These apps are only required if integrating pre-installed hardware.
At least one Wi-Fi-enabled Genie or Overhead Door garage device
The status LED is located next to the blue Wi-Fi button on the garage door opener. This LED indicates the Wi-Fi connectivity status of the garage door opener.

Factory reset a Genie Aladdin or OHD Anywhere Wi-Fi garage door opener
Important: Before factory resetting a Wi-Fi garage door opener, it must be deleted from the customer account. This must be done by your Alarm.com service provider first.
Press and hold the blue Wi-Fi button until the device beeps twice and the LEDs flash and change colors.
While the LEDs are flashing, press and hold the gray OTA button until the device beeps twice.
When the status LED turns solid red, the reset is complete.
Find the correct serial number on the garage door opener
Through the enrollment process, the serial number will be requested. This refers to the iDCM serial number on the device.
Change the Wi-Fi network settings of a Genie Aladdin or OHD Anywhere garage device
If your router is replaced or the Wi-Fi password is changed, the Wi-Fi network settings for the Genie Aladdin or OHD Anywhere garage devices will need to be re-configured.
Locate the Wi-Fi button on the device.
Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the device beeps and the LED changes color.
Connect your smartphone/tablet to the gdocntl Wi-Fi network.
Open http://192.168.1.1 in your web browser and follow the on screen instructions to connect the device to a network.
Verify the device is online.
Open and close the garage door twice from the wall button or car remote.
Verify that the device’s Wi-Fi LED is solid green.
