I currently have a QoLsys IQ 2 panel with another alarm.com provider. I want to upgrade to the Qolsys IQ 4 panel when I transfer my service to Surety.
I currently have 31 sensors/detectors for 319.5 MHZ, 10 PowerG sensors, 15 Z-Wave devices, and 4 cameras. I’m assuming that I’ll need to add each device back separately to the new panel. Or is there a means to do a backup from one service provider (Brinks) to another (Surety)?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to back up or transfer your devices from one Alarm.com provider to another. You’ll need to manually program each of your devices—sensors, detectors, PowerG devices, Z-Wave devices, and cameras—into your new IQ Panel 4 panel when you switch to Surety.

If you are staying with Surety and upgrading the panel would you have to reprogram again ?
If you are swapping your panel on your Surety account there is a backup and restore option between certain panel types. The IQ Panel 2 can be restored to an IQ Panel 4, however your IQ Panel 2 would need to be firmware 2.6.0+ for it to be available. It looks like your panel would need to be updated first.

Thanks. So based on your response, I should switch my current IQ panel 2 (with Firmware 2.8.1) to Surety first and then do the back-up from it before I attempt to switch to a new IQ Panel 4.
Understand that the Z wave and other devices will not be backed up and I’ll need to manually add them to the new panel. Thanks again for the clarification.
Do the transfer with your existing IQ Panel 2.
Once the transfer process has been completed, request that we run a backup of current system settings (the panel needs to be on and communicating with Alarm.com).
That backup can then be used for the restoral process when switching from the IQ Panel 2 to the IQ Panel 4.
