Is there a dedicated place to submit feature request proposals for the IQ Panel 4?
There are a few I’d like to throw in for consideration/possibly be passed along to Qolsys:
Require (or at least have the option to) require the user code to be entered to cancel an alarm arming without requiring a code to arm (every other panel I’ve used already has this).
When arming, announce the partition that is armed just like it’s announced when disarmed i.e. “Home armed away” instead of just saying “Armed away”. It’s very to easy to rush out the door and arm the wrong partition with no audio indicators to give away the mistake.
The ability to incorporate one sensor into two partitions for shared perimeter/zone areas.
The ability to silence the countdown before disarming from “stay” mode.
Correct, on the GC2 there is a mute button you can select before hitting disarm which was a handy feature. On the IQP4 the countdown beeps can be rather loud when leaving at 5am or such and it seems the only way to silence them is to have selected the silence option when arming it.
For that matter the countdown even starting when you select disarm from stay mode seems unnecessary and dissimilar to how other panels handle disarming stay mode. Why trigger a timer at all when a person is obviously inside and has not triggered any external sensors. The timer, in my mind, should be triggered by sensor not by user selection at the panel.

I see, so you are referencing the beeps after you touch the screen to disarm the system and enter your code without having tripped a sensor, right?
These should not occur during nighttime mode. This is a way of adjusting whether or not those beeps occur, but if you use nighttime mode for other purposes it might conflict since you can only create one nighttime period.
You can adjust nighttime mode under photo frame settings
There is an “arm all” command for arming multiple zones, a “disarm all” command would be nice too… very easy to disarm the system when you get home and then go to another zone and forget you didn’t also disarm that zone… ask me how I know :p.
To clarify, you are referring to Disarming all partitions at once with an app command?
This can be done via a scenes. You can edit existing scenes or create a new scene and choose which actions are performed when running the Scene. Select the partitions that should be disarmed and save. You can also trigger other actions at the same time if applicable and if you have automation devices.
Sorry, no, I mean at the panel. It might be impractical but a button when the disarm screen comes up to “disarm all”, at least personally, would be helpful.
I see, are you referring to during the countdown for Entry Delay? The partition which was tripped for entry delay will be the one prompting disarm in that case.
Disarming prior to entry using a scene option would be the way to work around that if you want to disarm both at this time.
Just to confirm, should both always be disarmed and armed at the same time in general? If they should always be armed and disarmed together it may be better to not use a second partition.
Happy to forward this as a request to the manufacturer
Yes, that is what I was referring to. They wouldn’t necessarily always be in the same state, especially for other than primary users like house sitters or cleaners, etc…
