How to change Alarm.com Login Username

Alarm.com login names can be changed at any time after account creation. This can eb done via the Alarm.com Website or Alarm.com mobile app.

Alarm.com Website

  1. Log into the Alarm.com Website.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Login Information.
  4. Click Login Name.
  5. In the Login Name field, enter the new login name.
  6. In the Current Password field, enter the current customer login password.
  7. Click Save.

Alarm.com Mobile App

  1. Log into the mobile app.
  2. Tap Menu
  3. Tap Login information.
  4. Tap Login Name.
  5. In the Login Name field, enter the new login name.
  6. In the Current Password field, enter the current customer login password.
  7. Tap Save.

If the message Login name is invalid is received when attempting to change a login name, the new login name may already be in use.

Keep in mind, Login names must contain less than 50 alphanumeric characters and cannot be taken by another Alarm.com user. Login names are not case-sensitive. To avoid login issues, the chosen name should be as unique as possible.
