I’ve worked with various garage door opener brands connected to Alarm.com systems. LiftMaster and Genie are the most common among my clients, and both integrate smoothly. If your opener isn’t compatible out of the box, using an Ecolink Tilt Sensor with a Z-Wave relay is a reliable alternative. Let me know your opener model — I can recommend a solution

I have developed a strong preference for the Ecolink Z-Wave controller even if the garage door opener has MyQ out of the box. People should at least be aware of the shortcomings of the Alarm.com MyQ integration before going forward with it.

The Genie / Aladdin Connect Alarm.com integration is better than the MyQ one though, I’d use that if I had a Genie.
