I updated my IQ4 panel a few weeks ago to resolve issues with the touch screen responsiveness. This seems to have created an issue with garage door status and operation. Status does not reliably and quickly update in the Alarm.com app and because of that, I have to for example select Open when the door is already open, and then send a Close command after. If I send multiple commands closely together, it is unclear which one comes last and this becomes a security risk for my home. I have to stay outside my garage door after using the app to make sure it is doing what I tell it to do, and sometimes I am surprised. Please resolve, this is an urgent issue. Thank you
I’ve sent some commands to run a Z-Wave network rediscovery, which completed successfully. Can you check again to see if it’s still doing the same thing?
Still malfunctioning.
Specifically noting this time, the system does not take physical garage door button presses into account. If I open/close through the app, status updates correctly. However if I press the garage door button (the one installed by the house builder in the garage, not smart) it does not reflect in the app.
This used to work correctly because it is a common way we have used the garage since moving in.
At this point, I recommend removing and then reconnecting the device to your system.
It looks like you’re using a Linear Z-Wave Garage Controller. Is that correct?
Steps for removing and re-adding the device from your system can be found in these guides:
