Hi all. New customer here. I’ve worked with Zwave for a while but the IQ Panel 5 and Ecolink GDZW7-LR are both new to me.
I’ve had no issue including any other devices, but this one I can’t get working after a couple hours with it. Figured it’s time to ask for help.
I tried pairing it using the Smart Start. I can’t get the camera on the panel to read the QR code, so I had to type it in. No big deal. However, it just sits in “not in network” status forever while the garage door controller blinks.
I then tried deleting that from the provisioning list and instead pair it “old school”. That seems to work - I get prompted for the DSK - but now things get weird. The DSK showing on the panel is completely different than the one on the card, the box, and the back of the device. I tried using the PIN/first five digits on the card/box/device but the controller immediately blinks red and beeps not added. It shows up then on the panel but never connects, so I delete it as a failed device.
Tried factory resetting the garage controller but the same thing happens. Tried successfully clearing it but the same thing happens. It seems like the DSK on the card, box, and device might be wrong?
Thanks for your reply. Indeed, this was how I was trying to enroll it. After letting it sit for several hours, it did finally say it was included on the provisioning list (along with a copy that magically appeared in the list?). But the garage device still was blinking green to indicate pairing mode and it didn’t seem to work at all.
Currently I don’t see it showing up remotely in Alarm.com. Is it still showing included on the panel? Can you PM the DSK from the box or on the device itself to @surety ?
Yep, it shows it as included right now in the provisioning list. But the garage door controller routinely beeps and flashes red (per the manual, the signal for a failed inclusion).
