I had an old Vivint system. It had 2GIG and other ZWave sensors. Are those still compatible with the new IQ Panel 4?
Trying to add them and can’t figure out how to do it.

There are a couple things to look at in this circumstance. First check the model number of the sensors.
2GIG sensors that are compatible with a 345Mhz version of the IQ Panel are the standard models.
Examples are DW10, DW20R, PIR1-345.
Vivint used those with the 2GIG GC2 panels. Subsequent panels used proprietary models which could not be reused.
Examples of proprietary models are DW11, DW21R, PIR2-345
In addition, you would need a 345Mhz version of the IQ Panel. Looking at your active subscription it is linked to a 319.5Mhz IQ Panel. That panel wouldn’t be compatible with 2GIG sensors.
It would be compatible with Z-wave devices. Old Z-wave devices would still need the clear device operation to be run first to clear any old network data saved within each device. Steps to do this are in the link below, follow the remove device steps first for each Z-wave device.
So if most of my sensors are with previous vivint sensors, should I return my new iQ Panel and get the 345Mhz version?
What is the model number of some of your Vivint sensors?
That would determine whether they could be reused and inform the answer to that question.
Is that on the back on the sensors?
Yeah it would be on the label which is found usually on the back of the sensors.
The Apollo detector I am not familiar with. It might work, I am not finding reference to it being encrypted or Vivint only.
However, the V-GB2 is a Vivint only part number for a glass break. To my knowledge it will not work The standard 345Mhz 2GIG Glass Break is the 2GIG-GB1-345.
That glass break suggests you likely have all proprietary security sensors which won’t be able to be reused on an IQ Panel 345Mhz version unfortunately.
is there another version of the IQ Panel 4 that they would use?
I didn’t really know which Mhz to get. Did I get the right one, or should I exchange to get another one?
No, sensors like the GB2, PIR2, DW11, DW21R, etc. are, to my knowedge only compatible with proprietary Vivint panels.
Those would not work with any panels we support, unfortunately.
In this case they would need to be replaced so the radio version is down to choice. 319.5Mhz is the most commonly used model and supports IQ S-Line sensors.
Here is a link to our store, filtered to devices compatible with your IQ4 Hub.
Ok, so I will need to get new sensors. Any you reccomend of the surety website? Or is there a place I can buy all the sensors I need in bulk?
Yes, I would use IQ S-Line sensors. Use this link to view compatible alarm sensors for your panel that we sell in our store.
Is there any way to buy in bulk?
Sensors are sold on our website a la carte, we don’t currently offer bundles of sensors. Select the amount of each desired or needed to replace the old sensors which will not work.
Compatible IQ S-Line sensors can be used with the system if you obtain them from any other source as well.
