V724X Camera Dropping Out

I have installed an ADC-V724 camera. However, the camera performance is spotty. Sometimes the video comes right up. Sometimes it gets to 80% load and stalls before saying “Failed to load the video feed”. Other times the video comes up and is then lost with the message “The stream has been disconnected”. This all can happen within a few minutes. I looked under Device Info and the Normalized Wireless Signal Strength is at 66% which is surprising because my phone shows full strength. Anyway, is 66% signal strength too low and be the cause of the problem? I have a WiFi Range Extender I can press into service. If I use the range extender do I have to delete the camera and re-install it?

I appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks

66% is borderline and could result in problems with the connection. I would try a closer source. You do not need to delete and reinstall the camera, but you would need to update its wifi settings if the extender uses a different SSID/password.

If you set up a distinct SSID for it, you can use AP or WPS mode to connect the cam to the new network. A guide is linked below. It may be best to use a unique SSID as it will disallow the camera from ever trying to connect to a more distant source.

OK so I added a WiFi extender and now get 88%. Deleted the camera and reinstalled it. The camera seems to be happy at this point. Thanks for the help.
