User codes for BE469ZP after panel swap

I recently swapped out a defective iq2 for iq4 and relearned all the sensors and devices. I still need to set up automation again. But, I noticed all of my previous user codes and accesses were removed except two not used in a long time. Also, the old codes seem to still unlock to the locks from the keypad.

Is there a way for this to be restored or do I have to set it all up again?

What should I do about the old codes synced to the locks?

Mike

To best assist and clarify, are you saying you are missing users in the alarm panel and ADC website too? Or are you just referencing the lock?

If you mean you had restoral commands pushed to the new panel, Z-wave devices like the lock are not included in backup restore commands.

If there are old codes in the locks which are still active, it would be good to delete the locks from the panel, factory reset the locks, then relearn them into the panel. This will clear any old codes and after learning them in you can sync your ADC user codes to them as necessary.

Hi Jason,
I had 8 users (or so) and all but two did not have codes transfered over to the new panel but I didn’t take any kind of “restore” step - I merely actives the new panel thinking it would automatically sync the user codes to the panel. The users synced to the panel only.

At this point, I think my best bet to remove the locks, factory reset the locks, relearn and reset all user codes in the panel, the sync to the locks as you mentioned.

Why would the users sync to the new panel from the account but not the codes?

If it at least did that I could easily give back lock access.

Also would be good to be able to see all codes on locks in the future, at least it gives a warning when an unknown code is used. That’s super helpful.

Codes will not automatically sync when swapping panels. There is a backup restore process which we can try but only before the swap occurs.

Codes can be applied to either the panel, the locks, or both, and can be enabled and disabled independently. To apply the codes, visit the users page in Alarm.com where you can adjust the codes for your users or sync them to devices.

Yeah, if there are old codes still in the lock, I would recommend factory resetting it to make sure all the old codes are gone, then you can resync all current codes after relearning the locks.
