I’m starting this thread to create a unofficial support list of Z wave devices that work with the Qolsys Iq Panel 4 (Alarm.com). Alarm.com seems to take forever when it comes to adding official support for Z-wave devices even though they work fine with the Qolsys Iq Panel .
Please note: Most of these will require the “Surety Home” plan. Or if you’re not using Surety, you need to have the plan at your alarm company that allows home automation in the alarm.com app.
Devices that work perfectly for me:
EcoNet Controls EVC200-HCSML The Bulldog Valve Robot, Z-Wave Water Valve. Turns on and off our Water main
I have some more Z wave smart switches and plugs on the way, and I will post their status once I get them installed. Please feel free to add your working devices to this thread
Leviton DZ15S Z-Wave light switch works perfectly on the Qolsys Iq Panel 4
The Leviton Decora Smart Tamper-Resistant Duplex Outlet works on the Qolsys Iq Panel 4, however, I am not able to control it or schedule automations on the alarm.com app. Not sure why yet. I can only control it in person at the Panel
The following devices work flawlessly on my IQ4 Panel (beyond those in the existing compatibility list):
Inovelli NZW36 Smart Plug
Leviton Plugin Outlet (3 prong) DZPA1-051-2BW
Zooz*:
ZEN32 Scene Controllers
ZEN16 Multi-Relay
ZEN71 switch
ZEN76 switch
ZEN04 smart plug
ZEN14 Outdoor smart plugs
Notes:
*Some scene functionality limited in alarm.com, but all z-wave parameters appear to be available in the IQ4 console for customization and manual association.
*As per the multi-channel beta, multi channel on devices like the ZEN14 appears to be functional at alarm.com, but always was functional direct in the IQ4 panel.
Zooz ZEN52 Double Relay
Verified working in IQ 4, IQ 2 and ADC.
And, now with v4.6.1 on the IQ 4, each relay can be individually named in the IQ 4 and the names pass to ADC.
Found an odd issue: If you join the ZEN52 via the IQ Installer app, each relay endpoint does not appear in the z-wave association screen (if you want to use direct association.). However if you join the ZEN52 directly from the IQ panel touchscreen itself, there are no issues and both relay endpoints appear in the association screen properly.
Inovelli VZW31 Red Dimmer
(This is the newest version as of 2025, and not the one on the ADC compatibility list)
Verified working in IQ 4 and ADC, with a minor annoyance:
LED bar notifications are not possible in ADC/IQ because they do not support the pushing of parameters based on a schedule or automation. This impacts many devices but is a most missed feature in this case.
One significant ‘cool’ feature of this device is that it has support for multi-tap direct z-wave associations, so you can directly associate/control more than once device or scene directly with zwave association from this switch. (single, double, triple tap and fan control are all available.). This is above and beyond remote scene controller functionality in ADC, which also works fine.
Verified working in IQ4 and ADC, with some surprises!
Full on/off control in IQ and ADC cloud
Direct Associations working, and it has endpoints for:
Overheat triggered set on
Overheat triggered set off
Overheat release set on
Overheat release set off
Under heat triggered set on
Under heat triggered set off
Under heat release set on
Under heat release set off
External switch action
Input switch appears as a scene capable remote in ADC
Addressable parameters
Power Monitoring
!! No errors on IQ’s System Check
It does have an internal temp sensor, which does not appear anywhere in IQ or ADC, however via parameters and the direct association values above, you could use it in IQ to trigger something like a relay or siren, etc when a heat or freeze threshold was violated. Very cool.
