Unofficial support list of Z wave devices for Qolsys Iq Panel 4 -

Zooz ZEN56 RGBW Dimmer

This module allows for RGBW strip control, and operates on 12-24v DC.

Verified working in IQ 4 and ADC !

The primary issues were as follows (but in all cases I do not think these were issues with the ZEN56 itself):

  • The IQ 4 panel does not have the ability (that I could find at least) to set the color directly on the panel (but you can in the ADC app/website). This is more of an IQ 4 limitation than a limitation of the Zooz ZEN56 as far as I know.
  • Colors seemed a little ‘washed out’ like too much ‘white’ was being called for, but it may have been the strip I was testing with (I also found a workaround for this*)
  • The ZEN56 includes some built in light shows, but only via a parameter set, which the IQ / ADC ecosystem doesn’t support setting via an automation or scene, so unfortunately not easily usable*

This module also supports expressing each of the RGBW channels separately as different z-wave endpoints via a parameter change. That feature was also tested and works find in the IQ 4 and ADC. While this worked as expected, some limitations in the way ADC handles lighting control may make this a challenge to use depending on use case.
