hey there, I created an account about two days ago. I registered on the surety home site & received the below email to register an account with on alarm.com.
“Please follow the remaining activation steps in our website, then click here to log into Alarm.com using your temporary password below. After logging in you will be prompted to update your password.”
Issue: the temporary password was rejected by the account setup wizard, with an error message saying it was already expired or used. This was the first time I tried it just minutes after getting the setup email.
Hello, I see that you have activated an account, and I see successful uses of your login in Alarm.com history, but the login is failing because the panel has not yet communicated with Alarm.com.
In order to login and start using Alarm.com, the panel must have started communicating. It looks like a number of signals have been sent to it, but it has not yet responded.
You also would not be able to reset the password until the panel starts communicating, which is the reason for the odd message you are seeing I think.
It looks like you are using a Concord 4 panel, is that correct?
Take a look at the LTE Cellular Module and the L1 status LED on the cell board. Is that LED flashing? If so, how many times does it flash in a row before pausing and repeating?
Thanks. When I first went to look at the cellular panel, no lights were flashing. It appeared nothing was connected, so I adjusted the position of the battery and panel a bit and voila, lights came on. Now the L1 LED is not flashing at all. LED 2 and 5 flash yellow simultaneously 2x, followed by LED 5 flashing yellow 5x. LED 4 also flashes green.
That seemed to clear the BUS 1 failure showing on the Concord 4. However, I still have not been able to log in to alarm.com. here is the message I see:
“It looks like Alarm.com has started sending initial commands to your system. The link below will log you into Alarm.com.
There may be a short delay in when Alarm.com recognizes your panel is signaling. Please allow a couple minutes after running your cell test to login.
If you did not run a cellular communication test yet, please do so now to ensure you can login via the link below. Your panel needs to have successfully started communicating with Alarm.com to be able to login.”
