Starting new service

I had recently discontinued service with alert360 and want to set up with surety. I have the panel 2gig-g2ce-345 about 50 various sensors and 8 cameras.
Do I still need the IMEA number? And if so how do I get it? The panel looks diff then the one in your video and I don’t want to set off a tamper alarm without being able to shut it off.
I also need to know how to get service for 8 cameras not just 4…

Thanks!

If you know the installer code, you can press the logo on the bottom right > Installer Code(Default 1561) > Click on radio status and the IMEI should appear on the screen.

If you don’t know, then you will have to remove the panel from the wall, power it down, remove the communicator, and then you will be able to see the IMEI.

Could you send a picture of the panel so I can better give you instructions?

For the cameras, once account is created, you will be able to add add-ons to your account. The Surety View Video($5/month + any applicable taxes) can be added to your account which adds 4 cameras and 5,000 clips to your account. This can be found on Smart Home Automation & Security Plans | Surety if you scroll all the way down.

I would also recommend you get SD Cards for your cameras if you don’t already have them for on-board 24/7 recording for your cameras.

hey thanks for the quick response!

I did check your panel IMEI and you can activate it with one of our plans. It is unregistered. The IMEI is the Serial Number [removed by admin]

Ok, everything but the cameras are working…
How do we get those working…

Cameras are connected to service via the Video tab of your Alarm.com account. Only Alarm.com compatible cameras can be used. To best assist, what model of camera(s) are you working with?

Pairing guides for a variety of Alarm.com cameras can be found on the support site below:

More information on video through Alarm.com can be found here:

To clarify, the DVR in the image above is not Alarm.com compatible and could not be used with service. Based on that, you may not have compatible cameras but we can confirm if you can provide part numbers to the cameras. If you are unsure of the part number, feel free to submit a photo of the camera for identification.

I am using alert360 cameras, which uses alarm.com, but seems to running thru gaurding vision website.
Here are the camera pics: hard wired to dvr pics above.

By the way the cameras are still working thru the alert 360 app. For now….

I posted pictures of some of the cameras, I have 8 total they seem to be going to a guardian vision web service.

In order for cameras to connect to Alarm.com, they need to be unregistered. This means disconnected from the previous Alarm.com account.

I’m not showing any cameras from Alarm.com that look exactly like that unit. Its possible that Alert360 cameras are proprietary.

Can you get a clearer picture of the label?

What’s pictured above are analog cameras and an analog DVR. If those are working through Alarm.com then you must have an Alarm.com video server that converts analog video to IP video and sends it up to Alarm.com. I haven’t seen those in a long time.

Do you have anything like these in your camera setup?

If not, I don’t think it can be working with Alarm.com.

nope, don’t have those, well that sucks… At least I got a pic of the camera label sort of…
here it is

if these don’t work are there much better cameras out there?

How do you view the cameras? Can you see them in the Alarm.com app or on the Alarm.com website?

can’t see the cameras except for the alarm360 app which appears to be guardian vision app rebranded by alert360. The DVR appears to be a Hikvision and it seems they also have an app.

Those would be separate from Alarm.com then.

if these don’t work are there much better cameras out there?

Without specs from those cameras its tough to say just what they compare to from Alarm.com list of offerings.

They might be comparable to the 724X

Thanks for the info, I’ll have to look around.

Since those cameras are analog, they may be standard definition (usually 480p). Do you happen to know their resolution? What’s the model # on the camera? It’s blurred in the pic.

Modern IP cameras are high definition (1080p) or higher.

But replacing 8 cameras can be a lot of work and expensive. If you’re happy with your cameras as is, I wonder if they’ll still work without Alert360? That’s a local DVR. Does the app you use to connect to it go through their servers or directly to your DVR? If direct, it might keep working.

They still work with alert360, but they don’t work well and trying to retrieve events take forever. Are there better alternatives?
