I setup my SEM300 yesterday on a Vista 20 panel. The issue is its not reading my front door xone at all and had my garage door listed as a enviroment sensor. Whenever I open the door to exit it chimes with a flood/freeze chime. Chat is telling me the system needs to map the Vista panel again but hard resets did nothing to accomplish that. I also did a reboot via the Surey/Alarm.com site and the problem persits.
I had the same issue are any of your zones setup as custom programming zones? None of my custom zones came across on the SEM but when I changed them to standard zone types then I actually got them in the zone list.
Im pretty novice here. Im not sure how to determine if something was setup as a custome zone or how to fix it. When chat gpt walked me though the keypad the issue was purely with the SEm which is about what I know entirely. Are you saying I can changethe zone via the SEM or the Vista?
I was asking about your zone programming within the Vista system itself. The SEM is just a communicator that interprets the data on your Vista. The Vista has standard zone types and 2-4 custom zones. I have noticed the custom zones don’t populate with the SEM zone scan.
Got it. So if I unlable them as custome you think they may begin to work is what your saying?
That is what was going on with mine and @vidail just confirmed for me that custom configured zones don’t work with ADC. So if you have any zones configured at Type 90-93 they won’t pull into the zone list.
Got it. Just confirmed I dont but thanks for the help anyway.
Your system is reporting that zone 1 is labeled garage door, but it is programmed as a temperature zone type. It shows up on our end as a 24 hour aux alarm.
Whenever I open the door to exit it chimes with a flood/freeze chime.
If locally you are experiencing the panel reacting as though the door is an evironmental chime, that isn’t an issue mapping from the SEM to Alarm.com, that means the sensor is indeed programmed as a temperature zone on the panel.
We have a programming guide for sensors linked below. In this case it looks like this sensor should be an entry exit zone type, which would be zone type 1. Currently it reports being Zone type 8.
