Replacing a 3 way toggle with Z Wave seitch

Is there a quick and easy way to install a z wave wall switch in place of a manual 3 way switch. Is there a manufacurer that makes a drop in switch that won’t require major rewriting? I have a 3 way in a hall way and in our living room and would like to replace with z wave as easily as possible.

I like to shy away from sweeping comments but I’m not aware of a model that would require major rewiring. If you have a circuit that functions as a three way circuit properly already then you would have everything needed for Z-wave 3-way switches.

In all the cases I am familiar with, you would swap both switches, with one switch being the control and the other being an accessory slave switch. Depending on the models you choose, they may communicate wirelessly or use the existing traveler wire.

GE/Jasco models are commonly used. You would be looking at the 14292 and the 12728 add-on switch.
