If I unplug my 16F I instantly get a Low Battery Notification text. My battery is a one month old Duracell Ultra model DURA12-7F2, 12volt 7ah AGM. I have 16.18 vdc coming into the 16F from the power supply and the 120v outlet is 2 feet away. With the power on I have 13.10 vdc at the battery terminals. As soon as I unplug the power supply the voltage dropped to 13 vdc and I immediately get a low battery text. When I plug the power supply back in the trouble clears. I’m using a Fluke digital multi meter and it repeatedly does this every time. Any suggestions?
This is actually normal.
The Hardwire 16F cannot transmit a “Power Loss” event code via 319.5 Mhz, so whenever power loss occurs, like when you unplug the 16F, it sends a “Low Battery” event to denote a power issue.
