Does the alarm.com app support outdoor PTZ cameras? If so, what brands and models of outdoor cameras are supported.

Yes and no.
Alarm.com used to have the ADC-V620PT which was a wireless camera with pan/tilt functions. That camera is outdated and no longer available at retail.
Alarm.com does not have any PTZ capable cameras at this time, nor am I seeing anything upcoming that features PTZ.
Through residential Alarm.com accounts, only Alarm.com branded cameras can be used. More information on video through Alarm.com, including compatible camera models, can be found here.
However, through Alarm.com Commercial Service plans, if you have an Alarm.com CSVR and a 3rd party camera with PTZ, that can be used. There is no specific models listed that can/cant be used but there are specific requirements that must be met in order to use 3rd party cameras with a commercial plan.
I thought I saw a post where another customer is using Vivint cameras, is that not accurate?

Depends on the camera. Vivint used to use Alarm.com and had compatible cameras at the time.
Any Onvif Profile S or VAPIX user enabled PTZ camera should work with a compatible SVR and Alarm.com commercial video plan.
The old Alarm.com indoor PTZ cameras was the ADC-V620PT. They should still work but they’re no longer being manufactured.
