I’m thinking of buying the POE doorbell. But I was curious if it comes with any mounting wedges for situations where it is off to the side of the door.
The wedge mount options are not included with the doorbell, but a kit can be purchased online. Look for the ADC-VDBA-755P-WMK
Thanks. How does it compare to the V775? Seems like thr 775 has better features and detections?
Happy to assist you!
The VDB775 is an excellent doorbell camera and does include some newer analytics features, such as package detection and Familiar Faces, along with its higher 4MP resolution.
The ADC-VDB755P, on the other hand, is designed for customers who prefer a hardwired Ethernet (PoE) connection. While it has a lower 2MP resolution and doesn’t include package detection or Familiar Faces, it still supports Video Analytics for people, vehicles, and animals. Its biggest advantage is reliability since both power and network connectivity are provided through a single Ethernet cable, eliminating concerns about Wi-Fi signal strength or doorbell transformer compatibility. It also supports continuous recording when paired with a compatible SVR.
So, if your priority is having the most advanced analytics and you’re comfortable using Wi-Fi, the VDB775 is the better choice. If your priority is the most reliable connection and you already have Ethernet available at the door, the VDB755P is the better fit.
Both are excellent options. It really comes down to whether advanced AI features or a wired PoE installation is more important for your setup.
