I’ve got my PG9WLSHW8 wired-wireless zone translator connected to my IQ 4 panel and it is working fine, however I want to expand to 16 zones. I bought the DSC HSM2108 as I heard they are compatible. When I connect it to the corbus 4 wires on the translator and go through the instructions for enrolling it, I only see the option for “keypad” from the module type dropdown. I’m told there should be an option for zone expander and power supply there. When I try to auto learn sensor no new zone expander is detected automatically.
I looked for solutions and found that the firmware version needs to be 1.2 on the PG9WLSHW8 so I flashed that firmware through DLS 5. I deleted all my sensors and re-enrolled but get the same issue, the translator works fine but the expander is not detected and no option for zone expander on the module type through the manual add sensor.
I’m unsure what is causing the issue. I’ve attached some images of my wiring and the IQ panel messages. The only wires connected to the translator are the 4 wires from the corbus to the expander and the power wires. As a note, the sensor DL ID i’m using to manually add the expander is the ID of the translator.
That version you have should support it, but it is not the latest. That is something you could try to rule out any potential issue on that version, and it is good to keep up to date with firmware.
You will need to use the patch tag in the instructions to apply the latest version. Instructions are in the link below:
