New IQ 5 and Software v4.6

When the IQ Remote PowerG is paired via PowerG, it will not have the silent disarm feature. Only the ones paired via Wi-Fi will.

A ticket has been submitted to Qolsys’ engineering team regarding the current issues I’ve noticed while on PowerG. At this moment, I don’t have any information on why Qolsys decided to make it available only on Wi-Fi or if they plan to support it via PowerG in the future.

If you have good Wi-Fi coverage in the area, you may want to try reconnecting that IQ Remote PowerG via Wi-Fi instead, which would allow you to use the silent disarm feature.

I’m experiencing an issue with my IQ remote after 4.6.1 upgrade. I also had the camera issue mentioned earlier, but fixed it by trying to get the camera to fire by bringing up the scanner to add a device.

Chimes and open/close announcements no longer sound on the remote (originally posted here: IQ Remote Lost Chime/Announcements After Upgrade to 4.6.1 )

I hope the Remote connection on PowerG is made to work like connection on Wifi. Wifi is only good when the power is on and the system is working correctly. PowerG in theory is more reliable…
