We just purchased a new property and have added an IQ4 to our existing account that has an IQ2. I am trying to add my WFI enabled Lift master garage door opener to my new account on alarm.com (2nd alarm.com account). I have factory reset the garage door opener and connected to the MYQ wifi and added it to WIFI. It is not in a MYQ account so I should be good there.
My issues is the alarm.com account does not show the lift master/MYQ connect option under add device / garage door. What triggers the option to show up? It shows up under my alarm.com account for my other house where I have an existing controller and garage door opener added and working (well it was until I accidentally deleted it while messing with the myq app. Any suggestions?
I think I found the issue looking at my account. It looks like I have to add myq support for $1 more per month.
That’s correct, you do need the myQ add-on to utilize LiftMaster myQ with Alarm.com.
