on another note what do you do when it says malfunction. This happened with the one that was easy to setup.
A malfunction could be caused by a number of things. The “easy” door was the one that is using the 888LM control panel and the 828LM gateway, correct? Most the time, I would say the issue is the result of a loss of communication between the control panel and the gateway. I would double check and make sure the gateway or garage door opener hasn’t come unplugged. It could also be an issue of distance or interference between the control panel and the gateway. If possible, you could try moving the gateway closer to your garage so the control panel can communicate to it more effectively.
Currently there is no update on Assurelink device compatibility. As of now, it looks like still just MyQ is compatible. However, I’m going to prod a little and see if it is a project that is kicking around.
