I replaced the control board in my garage door opener and need to re-pair the MyQ G0401-ES to the opener. It’s been working fine via alarm.com integration for the last 4 years. I found instructions for another MyQ model, but I’m not getting the same LEDs when following the procedure. The Chamberlain manual is basically useless.
Hi Jeremy! The opener programming steps in that post are specific to the 821LM, so they won’t carry over to the G0401. Replacing the control board erases the code the hub uses to operate the opener, so the hub will need to be re-learned to it. Since your hub is registered to Alarm.com, please don’t set it up through the myQ app, as a hub can only be registered to one account at a time. Can you share the make and model of the opener and the color of its learn button? I’ll follow up here with the next steps.
Thanks Jeremy! Before we move forward, can you share the serial number of your Genie opener? It helps us confirm compatibility with the hub. Depending on the model, the serial can be printed in different places on the opener.
Thanks Jeremy, that opener should be compatible with the hub. I’ve removed the old door from your account, so you can add it back through Alarm.com and follow the on-screen instructions, which include the step to learn the hub to your opener. Since your opener is a Genie, choose the Non-MyQ Garage Door Opener option when prompted, and keep your Genie remote handy, as it may be needed during programming. Let us know how it goes!
