Hello, I recently moved to a new home that has an IQ Panel 4 already installed. The problem is, it’s stuck on “EMERGENCY”, and we never received any code for the panel. We reached out to the realtor to see if she could ask the previous homeowner, and we were referred to a binder in our laundry room that has no such information about the panel at all. I have Alarm.com cameras already and they’re setup to Surety service. I’d like to add this panel to it as well, as all of our doors and windows have sensors we would like to be operating and accessible for us. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank You!
You need either the master code, installer code, or dealer code. I think the defaults are 1234, 1111, and 2222. If all 3 have been changed and you don’t know any of them then I don’t think there is a way. Do a search on the forum here bc there are similar questions with more detailed answers.
If the previous owner won’t help and you can figure out who used to monitor it they might be able to help with the installer or dealer code.
Thank you for your reply. I contacted ADT earlier today, who used to be the old service provider. They told me that they would have no record of what the master code would be because this would be private to the previous owner. So as of now I’m waiting to call Alarm.com on Monday and see if there is anything I can do about this. If anybody has a link to anyone else’s post who has dealt with this issue and has resolved it, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank You
They wouldn’t know the master code but they know the installer and dealer codes. Try googling for ADT installer codes. Often they use common codes to make it easier on their installers.
Another thing you should do is check that they don’t still have the panel connected to an Alarm.com account. You can do that here.
More details here.

If the panel is currently in an alarm state, as a point of clarification here, the installer code or dealer code will not help.
You will need a valid user code to disarm the system, such as the master user code.
The installer code and dealer code do not have access to disarm the panel.
You can access the menus to run a cell test with any of the three codes mentioned in prior responses, but this assumes the panel is disarmed.
