Can you please tell me why I have a loss of supervision on my “front door” sensor which is a hardwired plunger connected to Takeover e module? No other sensors on the takeover are having supervision errors. I was, but just can’t this one to clear out.
The sensor reports immediately upon opening/closing at the panel and the ADC App shows when it’s open/closed properly.
The odd thing is my panel shows a loss of supervision for the Front Door sensor and I have to bypass to arm the system. My ADC app does not show any error for my front door.
Do I need to reboot the panel again (remove batter, remove ac power, reconnect ac power, reconnect battery I believe is order)?
If I remember correctly the 2GIG GC3 had an issue which was introduced with Smart Areas where old events couldn’t be fully cleared if they were on multiple partitions.
It doesn’t look like you have Smart Areas enabled though. Have you used partitions at any point in the past on that panel?
You’re correct, I have never used Smart Areas on this panel since purchasing new and installing myself. I don’t believe I have anything configured for that, as you see too.
Since getting it all quieted down again, I have simply removed Supervision from all zones on the Takeover module except the Motions (4x Doors).
It seems lack of usage of these zones creates the issue, because usually as soon as I trigger a zone with a “Loss of Supervision” error that is handled by the Takeover it reports and status clears.
In the past we have seen this issue and they only step to fix was to Restore Console through programming.
I’m told by 2GIG that if that doesn’t resolve the error, then its a hardware issue.
If the issue returns, let us know and we can walk you through how to do that. Only Restore Console, otherwise you will run into issues with the panel being defaulted. We can run a backup of settings before you try do that.
