Live monitoring , nvr ipcameras questions

Can I wire non ADC cams to the adc NVR and still get live guard monitoring on those cameras?

Currently have a NVR that is not ADC with TVI cameras. I have live guard monitoring through a wireless ADC doorbell cameras. Would like to put in a dedicated camera at the door. Ideally I would run just one system vs two video systems

Probably want 3 cameras for live guard monitoring.

Trying to do this with the least cost while still having good equipment.

I also heard new products are on the horizon so I may need to wait?

This requires a service plan feature only available with Alarm.com commercial plans. Currently, this is only available in the stand-alone Cam Pro plan, but we plan to expand this soon to be available as an add-on.

When the new commercial video add-on is available however, third party camera support is a possible feature.

Thank you for responding. Another Question.

If an ADC NVR has 16 POE ports, can I run i Cat6 cable from 1 port, to a POE hub 100 feet away, then make 3 20 foot runs from that hub?

Also, on the commercial plan, can I use 3rd party NVR? What if the NVR is hooked up to the internet, but the cameras are all DVI cabled cameras?

You can use another POE switch, yes.

No. Third party camera access requires an Alarm.com CSVR model. The third party cameras can only interface with Alarm.com through that CSVR.

Third party NVR are not supported currently.

I noticed on an exterior bullet ADC bullet camera adc-vc727p there were two cables. One ethernet and another cable that looked like a power cable?

Why would you need a power cable if its POE? Do you just leave it unplugged?

Correct, that’s a 12VDC input if you do not use POE. If you use a POE switch/injector you wouldn’t use the DC input

We support Alarm.com commercial plans with 3rd party cameras now.
