It has stopped giving chimes or voice alerts even though I have turned those functions ON, then OFF, then ON agaim for troubleshooting as well as restarted the tablet.
It will also not disarm the system no matter what PIN I type in. I can try to type the correct PIN in everytime and everytime it will tell me it is incorrect so I have to disarm from main unit.
My next step is to delete it and repair it.
I can probably figure it out but does anyone have the instructions for the IQ2 so I can readd it properly? Thanks!
Anyone else have this issue? Mine seemed to start or at least I noticed it after the most recent manual update. In other news, the most recent update was awesome and fixed a ton of bugs on my unit.
That would cause issues. The IQ2 has an older firmware. It should be on 1.5.
On your IQ Panel, go to Settings - Installation - Upgrade Software - IQ2 Panel Upgrade Using Network
Since it is an older IQ2, can you check to see if the IQ2 secondary panel will wake from sleep by touching the screen? Or does it only wake from sleep by pressing the side button?
Do you have a patch tag for the update because it is requesting one
I specifically selected “IQ2 Panel Upgrade Using Network”
This is where it gets even more strange:
*It doesnt turn the screen on the IQ2 when I arm the system
*The IQ2 will still arm the main panel
*The main panel will let me know when the IQ2 has a low battery.
My IQ2 just doesnt want to commit to this relationship
Thanks for all the ideas, keep them coming and I will update the IQ2 as soon as I learn the patch tag.
It didnt find IQ214 and it downloaded q215 fine to the main panel but then gave me the error “Failed Parsing file” on the iq2.
Any suggestions on how to get iq214? I never saw that an update was available and I follow Qolsys on FB. Do they post this info anywhere else I should be following?
You may still run into issues updating to 1.5. After updating to 1.4, does your IQ2 wake on touch? Unfortunately we know of an issue affecting older IQ2s which may cause problems with 1.5. However, if it is confirmed as an issue in this case, we may be able to assist.
After updating to 1.4, the panel is still experiencing the same issues.
To answer your question specifically, my IQ2 panel does not wake up when I arm the main unit.
The only time I have been able to create any type of interaction between the two panels is when I ARM from the IQ2 Panel. Disarming from the IQ2 panel is never successful.
If main panel screen is off, arming from IQ2 will turn the Main panel on and arm it.
If IQ2 Panel screen is off, arming from the main panel will not turn the IQ2 screen on.
Also, since updating - up in the top right corner it has the message “undefined - NaN:NaN AM”
Additionally - If the system is in ARM STATE and I disarm from the IQ2, BOTH panels will prompt for pin. The IQ2 will not accept my PIN and the main panel does, but once I disarm from the main panel, the IQ2 still shows ARM STATE.
Once the main panel downloaded 1.5, it said it sent it to IQ2 devices but it never triggered anything so I reset the IQ2, deleted from main panel, restarted, added again, now I am attempting 1.5 again.
Since it is an older IQ2, can you check to see if the IQ2 secondary panel will wake from sleep by touching the screen?
does your IQ2 wake on touch
To answer your question specifically, my IQ2 panel does not wake up when I arm the main unit.
The important thing to check is whether the IQ2 itself wakes from power save by touching its screen. Can you touch its screen to wake it up or do you need to press the power button?
An issue preventing 1.5 firmware functionality affects older units which do not wake on touch.
Gotcha, sorry I didnt understand. It has never woke up on touch which I thought was just something it wasnt supposed to do. I verified to see if that changed since 1.4 and it still doesnt.
This would indicate it is from the earliest production runs. Did you purchase this from suretyDIY? We may be able to assist. If you purchased from suretyDIY, email customerservice@suretyDIY.com and refer to this thread. We will then email instructions.
Just got my IQ2 back from QOLSYS and it works great! The newest update is exactly like what I expected the IQ2 to be when I purchased. Functionality of the iq2 is practically the same as the main panel
I just updated my IQ Panel and now I have this exact same issue. Apparently I have an older model IQ2 because it does not wake up just by touching the screen. It is running 1.4, and after I downloaded 1.5 on the main panel nothing happens. What should I do?
