Currently my GC2 has a hardwire sensor that is cnnected to my front door and wires right into the GC2 directly. Does the Edge have this? Does the qolysys? There are two hardwire inputs on the Edge and IQ Panel 2+. Does Power G mean “encrypted” sensors. Will I be able to use my legacy and gradually add encrypted sensors. Qolsys Panel 2+ vs 2GIG Edge

Hi everyone… I am getting ready to upgrade my legacy 2GIG GC2 and was originally planning to switch to the Qolsys Panel 2+ (345Mhz version). However, now that the 2GIG Edge is out, I was wondering if there are any comparisons between the two. Could anyone share their experience with the 2GIG Edge? There is a lot of information on Qolsys. But I couldn’t find much on the Edge.

The IQ Panel 4 is very similar to the IQ Panel 2+, same UI, with improved sound, without a wired terminal block.

I recommend Qolsys over 2GIG (we only sell the Qolsys systems, but the Edge is supported.)
