This has happened twice in the last few weeks. I get a phone notice that one of my IQ smoke detectors is off line. The panel doesn’t indicate any issue or message, but is powered up and responds to the touch pad. However, it doesn’t respond to any input from any of my system devices, including hardwired door/window sensors. I’m assuming that Alarm.com isn’t hearing anything from the smoke detectors because the panel isn’t functioning and is sending me the message. The panel won’t power down from the touch screen - I get the powering down message with a never-ending circle. I can power down with an extended hold of the power button. When I power it back up, everything comes on line. The only message in the panel is the power cycle event. Panel was installed late 2019, so I’m assuming the worst. Any advice is appreciated.
Can you perform a full power cycle, including disconnecting the battery for at least 2 minutes, to see if there is any change? Steps to do so can be found below.
Thanks for getting back to me. I did a full power cycle with battery and power supply disconnected. The system came up as it should. Since this has been intermittent, I’ll continue to monitor the system and provide any updates. It seemed like it was losing connection on the 319.5 communications, but it never gave me a communications fault - or any fault.
