Installing PG9303

Cannot get the PG9303 to pair with my Qpanel 4. I try the manual setup but it only lets me put 6 digits in but the ID on the back of the sensor is 7 digits. Also it says to select PowerG as the source but my panel only shows SecurityRF or Security RF319.

I tried the auto sensor install and it never has worked even after taking the battery in and out. I tried it with 3 different PG9303 with no luck on any of them.

Based on the information being reported back to Alarm.com, your panel does not have a PowerG radio. As such, a PowerG device could not be paired.

If you navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Enter the Installer or Dealer Code > System Tests > Daughter Cards Test, do you see a test to run for PowerG?

If not, the panel either does not have a PowerG radio installed, or the PowerG radio is damaged/unplugged.

You can confirm physical presence of the PowerG radio by powering down the panel completely, removing the panel from the back plate and looking at the control board. You should see two cards installed, the one on the righ side (if facing the below orientation) should read PowerG.

To power down safely, navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Power Down. Then unplug the power supply from the wall outlet and open the panel.

Yeah nothing in the Daughter Card Test says PowerG. Do you have a tutorial on how to remove the panel from the back plate?

I dont have a video but there is a single screw at the bottom edge of the panel that holds the panel to the back plate. See the previous image for its location. Undo that screw then gently lift up and out on the panel.

There is no PowerG radio in the back of the panel. How do I go about getting one, I cannot find one in the store. I just bought $1,110 worth of stuff from the store that is all PowerG since the Surety Website said they were compatible with the Qpanel4.

Qolsys does offer the PowerG card separately, the part number is QC0008-840
We do not carry them as they should come installed in the IQ Panel 4 by default.

Do you know where you got this panel? Did you buy it used or get it directly from a different dealer?

Could you provide the part number from the back of the unit? Its directly under the Qolsys logo above the barcodes on the previous image. On occasion we see some specific dealer variants.

I bought a new home from DR Horton last week and they had Safehaven come and install the smart home equipment I got from DR Horton.

I declined Safehavens ADT plan and had them release the panel, then signed up with Surety last week. The panel and all equipment was brand new and given from DR Horton.

I just ordered that part from Alarm Grid.

Thanks for your help! Hopefully installing it is simple and then everything works.

I cant say that I’ve seen an IQ Panel 4 from that dealer/home install program before that didn’t have the PowerG card installed. Based on what Alarm.com reports, you likely have an IQP4001 model of panel, just without that powerG radio.

Installing the card is pretty easy, just make sure the panel is fully powered down, including the battery. Here is a guide on how to power cycle the panel fully:

Make sure the pins line up with the connector before seating the card and adding the small set screw.

Thanks for your help! I’m sure the Safehaven tech didn’t know either since he was trying to sell me the same PowerG door and motion sensors to install that day.
