Qolsys panel users who have already integrated myQ Liftmaster/Chamberlain garage control into their Alarm.com account can control the garage via the panel. myQ integration on the IQ Panel is automatic, sent by Alarm.com.
Sometimes this integration does not show on the panel after pairing myQ to Alarm.com, or after swapping the alarm panel on your Alarm.com account, such as swapping an IQ Panel 2 for an IQ Panel 4.
There are a few things to try/check to get garage control to show:
- Ensure myQ can be controlled locally via the wall button and remotely in Alarm.com.
- Check to ensure your panel is on the latest firmware.
- Confirm firmware version at panel Settings > Advanced Settings > About > Software
- Firmware patch notes and update instructions can be found here.
- Reboot the panel
- Settings > Advanced Settings > Panel Reboot
Should the above fail to produce garage control and you are a Surety user, let us know. Commands can be sent that should resolve the issue. These commands can only be sent during normal business hours.
However, should all of the above fail allow garage control, the myQ controller will need to be removed from the Alarm.com account and re-added. myQ controllers can only be removed by the service provider at the time of this writing.
