How to swap old Yale lock with a new one on IQ Panel 2+

The audio component of my current Yale real living lock (model YRD-220) in my front door died and now I’m looking to replace the whole unit with a new one. I bought a new Yale real living lock (model YRD-226). I didn’t buy a replacement z-wave module for the new lock as I am assuming that I can just re-use the same one from my existing lock. If I use that same z-wave module, what are the steps to add the new lock?

I assume I may need to reprogram the keypad on the lock, but hoping I don’t need to add the new lock to my IQ panel 2+ as I am using the same z-wave module used in the old one I am replacing.

Thanks.

I haven’t done it myself but do they use the same z-wave module? If so, why not try swapping it in and see if it works?

I have not swapped an older Z-wave module into a newer lock, but I believe the modules are interchangeable. I would still expect to relearn it to properly sync the device and send new codes from Alarm.com. Delete that lock from your panel, then learn the new lock in near the panel before the new lock goes on the door, then run a rediscovery on the panel after it is installed.
