How to add SkyBell Slim Line camera to app

Hi,

I have skybell Slim Line camera that I use from SkyBell phone app. However, I would like to get it connected to alarm.com app? How can I do that?

Thanks, having trouble. I am wondering does this camera needs to be compatible with alarm.com? Or any SkyBell Slim Line would work?

The following SkyBell Doorbell Cameras are compatible with Alarm.com:

  • Slim Line I Wi-Fi Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB105/106)
  • Slim Line II W-Fi Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB105x/106x)
  • SkyBell HD Wi-Fi Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB101/102)

What is the model number of the skybell you have? This can be found on the back of the unit itself. A picture of the doorbell may help to identify as well.

This one. I don’t see a model number anywhere.

On Skybell app it says: SB_TRIM2_0001

That is the Skybell Trim 2 doorbell. Unfortunately that one is not compatible, I believe it is only made for Total Connect service.

For Alarm.com, you can use one of the following doorbells:

  • Slim Line I Wi-Fi Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB105/106)
  • Slim Line II W-Fi Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB105x/106x)
  • SkyBell HD Wi-Fi Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB101/102)
  • ADC-VDB770
  • ADC-VDB750
  • ADC-VDB780B
  • ADC-V755P

I can use that with SkyBell app and it works great there.

So I guess there’s no workaround to use this doorbell?

No, that doorbell model was designed for Total Connect, it is not Alarm.com compatible. I believe any Skybell model can be used with the Skybell app.
