After upgrading my Qolsys IQ from 4.4.2 to 4.5.2, my GE/JASCO 45601 Z-Wave Remote alerts as “Unknown” on the panel. The remote still functions and controls the Z-Wave devices it downloaded from the Qolsys previously. Research suggests that the GE/JASCO Z-Wave Remote is no longer in this firmware’s database. Appreciate any assistance on resolving this please.
Would you be able to delete and learn in the light switch to see if that clears the trouble. Any rules/scheduled associated with the light switch will need to be recreated.
If you could first clear the device then try adding it back
Hi @vidail16, it’s a secondary controller Z-Wave remote, not a light switch. The only change was the Qolsys firmware upgrade. The remote still controls the lights OK, but the panel doesn’t recognize what device it is.
Since this device isn’t an official supported device with Qolsys, it’s not that uncommon for it to show unknown after the update. If the product is working then you could use it like that.
The only other thing you could do is delete the device and try learning it back in but the device may still show signs of odd behavior like it showing unknown.
Thank you
Thank you @vidail16.
