I’m seeing a “garage door unable to open” message repeatedly in the activity log. There haven’t been any attempts to open the door.
I believe this message is referencing the overhead garage door and not the door that opens to the garage but I’m not certain.
Can anyone provide more detail as to what may be happening?
That status is coming from the Linear Z-wave Garage opener on your system.
The status being repeated is typically shown when there is a physical problem and the device cannot open or close. In your history it looks strange, it appears that whenever the door has recently been opened or closed, an accompanying status saying that it cannot be changed to the opposite state is logged simultaneously.
In other words, at the same time in your history that it shows the Z-wave garage door opened, ADC gets a status of “Unable to close.” and vice-versa.
I think the first thing I would do in this case is replace the battery on the associated tilt sensor just in case, then power cycle the Linear GD00Z garage opener.
After power cycling it, wait a few minutes then open and close the door from the local wall button. Do you see the same issue in Alarm.com where it reports the unable to open or close status repeatedly?
