The Device is temporarily disabled trouble condition indicates Alarm.com control has been temporarily disabled for the device, usually Garage Door control devices. This can occur when the device has failed multiple consecutive remote control attempts, has not successfully reported its status, or does not include an LED indicator as per UL requirements.
How to resolve:
-
This condition may require action from the user to restore the device’s status like manually opening or closing the device in order to get a successful status report.
- Example: Garage doors enter this state when the garage fails two consecutive attempts to remotely close or open. The condition is resolved when the user locally opens or closed the garage door and the status is successfully reported.
-
If the garage motor does not include an LED light (e.g., 827LM) for remote operation (e.g., 8500W), an LED light must be enrolled to the motor before the device can be controlled remotely. Refer to the garage door opener’s manual or contact LiftMaster Support for more information.
Note: The 821LM will provide the required LED when paired to a garage door opener if the 827LM is not available.
