I setup my alarm system yesterday. My firefighter module dropped it’s connection last night after being connected for about an hour. I turned the volume down on the keypad so I didn’t have to hear the warning chimes all night. It appears to have never reconnected to the system. This morning I removed the module from the panel, reset the firefighter module and reconnected it with a different battery. It dropped it’s connection is what appears the same amount of time. I did the daughter card check and it passed.
is the next step to get a new firefighter module sent to me?
Thanks for the details. Before we look at re-pairing anything, let’s rule out the radio antenna itself, this is a common cause of a sensor going offline shortly after a radio card install.
When the SRF319H card was installed, could you check whether the white flexible antenna wire is routed cleanly, not bunched up, folded, or pinched between the board and the backplate? If it’s compressed or kinked, that alone can cause this pattern, connects fine at first, then drops and won’t reconnect.
Here’s a guide on proper antenna routing:
If you find it’s pinched, reseating it along the routing channel should resolve this. Let us know what you find.
My problem has been resolved. The antenna popped off it’s connector when I put the panel on it’s base. Rerouting the antenna wire as advised resulted in a better fit.
