DSC EV-DW4927SS Low Battery Alerts

The constant open and closed status is something that can occur with sensors as the battery begins to get low. Typically, a low battery signal is sent by the sensor, but in some cases, that signal isn’t sent or isn’t received by the panel.

The panel crashing when receiving a low battery is not expected behavior and could be what’s causing you not to receive a low battery warning from the shock sensors.

First, it looks like the panel’s firmware is out of date. Can you try performing a firmware update?

Steps to perform a firmware update can be found in the guide below. You’ll need to use the patch tag iqpanel4.6.1 in order to start the upgrade.

Please let us know if the system continues crashing after the firmware upgrade.

If possible, it’s also recommended to replace the battery in any of the shock sensors that have older batteries and experience frequent use.
