Doorbell Chime options

Hi! I purchased two Doorbell AI cameras (ADC-VDB750). One replaced an old doorbell and routes to a mechanical chime. It works flawlessly and I love it. The second has no wiring and does not connect to the mechanical chime. Both doorbells are on the IQ 4 panel based system.

I have figured out a wiring scheme for the second unit, but I need help with the chime. Are there any products from Surety or elsewhere that I can purchase that can connect to the doorbell as a chime? I assume I need a second digital chime, correct? Is it possible instead to have the unit tell the other doorbell to ring the mechanical chime when pressed? What other options do I have?

Thank you! Sorry if I’m not using the correct terminology.

  • Digital Chime: Purchase a wireless digital chime compatible with the ADC-VDB750. Check Surety or similar platforms for options.
  • Relay Signal: Most systems can’t trigger another doorbell’s mechanical chime, but you could explore wireless relays or smart hub features.
  • Smart Home: Use Alexa, Google Home, or HomeKit to set up alerts or sounds through smart speakers when the second doorbell is pressed.
  • Third-Party Chime: Universal wireless chimes might work, picking up the doorbell’s signal and playing a sound.

The W115C is a wireless chime option from alarm.com which would work with the ADC doorbell.

The W115C can be found here.
