Does Surety support Pro Series SVR?

@tyler

This may have changed, but Surety does NOT support business accounts which are needed for these newer Pro Series SVR’s, correct?

Thanks!

We do not offer the Alarm.com commercial business plans, but the CSVR does not require those plans. You can add one with SVR support on the Protect or Complete plans.

@jwcsurety

Thanks for the info… I guess I confused myself and the question I really wanted to ask is:

You need a business account to take advantage of being able to use third party cameras with the Pro CSVR correct?

Ah, yes that is correct. Third party camera support does require commercial video plans. We do not support these currently.

Thanks for confirming

How are “Alarm.com commercial business plans” different? Pricing? Features?

Any plans to start offering them?

I can’t provide pricing info on commercial plans because we do not sell them at this time. They would be more expensive though, and we focus on residential plans currently.

Yes there are some features unique to commercial plans which are designed for business locations, such as business analytics (people counting, queue monitoring, etc.) and enterprise options for grouping camera views from multiple locations (like a group of stores in a geographical region).

Currently I am not aware of any plans to sell the commercial video service plans in the near future.

ok, we do need those add’l features (multiple locations, tracking employees, customers)

Love Surety and for what it is worth, if you did offer alarm.com’s commercials plan I would sign up in a minute with you guys.

Appreciate the follow up! Our team uses feedback like this to help inform decisions and I am happy to bring it up internally as a feature request.

Btw, we are still looking for a DIY commercial plan. Hope you add it someday. We’ll be your first customer!

I appreciate your follow up, it has been discussed recently, hopefully we will be able to offer this in the future.

Happy to report we do support commercial plans now.

Good afternoon sir,

Some how I missed that you guys support these CSVR now with commercial plans for 3rd party cameras. Awesome! I want to see if my Dahua cams with work. I assume they will as they are ONVIF. I read somewhere on the forum what is required and what package is necessary but one question I do have is about a part of a video I saw on the net about 3rd party cams and the CSVR. See photo. Since “Video Analytics” is not a supported feature? What does that exactly mean? So the CSVR wont know if something is an animal, vehicle, person, or am I not understanding how these cams would interact with the CSVR? How would my 3rd party cams integrate with the CSVR for tripwires and such? Just setup a rule like you do with ADC cams? Also, I see you are able to view the 3rd party cams GUI directly. Is that where you would configure all the cams settings, like frame rate, exposure, etc??? Hope this makes sense!

Thanks and I appreciate you guys offering this now and keeping us updated!

Hello,

Dahua cameras do not support Video Analytics. The cameras that currently support video analytics are Hanwha and Axis cameras. Dahua cameras can only be set to record with Event Triggered Recording Rules like when an alarm is activated or a certain door opens as well as 24/7 recording.

Yes, this would be where you would set up the camera settings.

Hmmmmm.. So you are telling me that even though my Dahua cams have built in AI and analytics in the cams themselves, that there is NO way to setup any sort of recording rules like with ADC cams ie… setup a tripwire when a car enters the driveway or a person walks up to my front door? This seems very restrictive and hard to believe.. I thought 3rd party cameras were just not able to use advanced video analytics like people counting, face recognition and so on… so the Dahua cams can just simply record 24/7 (or if alarm activated events like you mentioned? Really???

That is correct. For now, it is only able to work with Hanwha and Axis built in analytics. Dahua cameras will not support line crossing or other rules. I believe the only additional thing it supports is audio as well. Hopefully they do add the AI and analytics to Dahua and other brands in future updates.

Thank you for confirming. I appreciate the info.
