Change 5800 wireless device type

Hello, I have several Honeywell 5800-series wireless devices connected through my Vista 20P panel. When I view the list of devices in Manage Devices on the website, some of them have an incorrect type associated to them, which is causing some confusion. For example, I have a zone for my 5800RP wireless repeater RF jamming detector, but this is listed in Manage Devices as a Temperature sensor which is causing low/high temperature alerts through my app. I also have a door open/close sensor which is listed with Type = Motion which also causes confusing alerts. Is there any way that I can change the Reporting Type and/or Physical Type for my devices?

The type that ADC displays is based on the zone type used for programming. Zone type 08 for example, aux alarms, result in a default temperature type. We can adjust how ADC describes that by adjusting that presumed typing on our end.

Let us know a list of the sensor zone numbers/names that need adjusted and we can do so for you.

That would be great, thank you so much for the help. Here’s a list:
Zones 24,25,26,27,28,29,30 are Glass Break sensors but they are currently listed as Contact sensors.
Zones 32,33,34 are Flood/Leak Detectors but they are currently listed as Temperature
Zone 39 is a door open/close sensor but is currently listed as Motion
Zone 43 signals a low battery indication for one of my devices
Zone 44 sends a tamper signal for the device
Zone 45 sends an AC Power Loss signal for the device
Zone 46 sends an RF Jamming indication for the device
Zone 96 is for a Medical Emergency but is currently flagged as Temperature

Happy to help with some of these, but there are issues with others. There is a lot of non-standard programming, I would recommend changes.

Zones 28-30 are updated as Glass Break.
Zones 32-34 are updated as Water type.
Zone 39 is updated as a Contact.
Zone 96 is updated as a Non-Burglary medical panic (I believe this is what you intend, correct?)

The problem zones:

Zones 24-26 are programmed as Day Zones (Zone type 5). Glass breaks should generally be either perimeter contacts (Zone type 3, which your other three glass breaks use) or interior follower (Zone type 4).

Day Zone types will only ever show as contacts, as those are the only type of sensors expected for that programming.

Based on your description I would expect Zones 43-46 to be Non-Response sensors, used only for notification purposes in Alarm.com. According to programming though they are set as alarm zones which I do not recommend.

Zone 44 is programmed as a Day zone. This would mean based on your description that Power Loss while armed would result in a potential police burglary response. Zone Type 23 should be used here in conjunction with Alarm.com notifications.

Zone 43 and 45 are programmed as Zone type 8, Aux alarm, used for temperature, medical, and water zones. Zone Type 23 should be used here in conjunction with Alarm.com notifications.

There is no Zone 27, and there is no Zone 46.

Thanks very much for the help! As an DIYer I jave no idea what standard practices are so I really appreciate your insight. I just made all your recommended changes.
