Black screen on panel

My panel screen is black. Can’t get it to turn back on

To begin troubleshooting, power cycle the panel. Leave it off for 10 minutes. Steps on how to do so can be found here:

While off completely, check the following:

  1. Ensure the cable between the panel and power supply is not loose, or damaged.
  2. Check that the power supply is plugged into a working outlet and that the outlet is not switched off.
  3. Check the internal battery for swelling or bloating

If outlet is providing power, and the panel does not power back on, check the power supply with a voltmeter to ensure it is producing the correct voltage.

When troubleshooting, you may want to place your 24/7 professional monitoring account on Test Mode during troubleshooting to avoid any false dispatches.

You can do this by calling monitoring operators directly at 855-348-0367 or from the Test My System tab in the System Manager section of your Surety account.

Any other troubleshooting steps. Brother worked

Were you able to check the power supply with a multimeter? If so what was the result?

What about the status of the battery?

How is the panel powered, via the existing cable, or an existing cable in the wall? If wall run, how long is the cable and what gauge is the wire?

No I was not able to check it with a multimeter. My maintenance man did come and tested it. He said there is power just not to the panel. I need to know who i contact about it being replaced?

Typically for replacement (if under warranty) you would need to contact the dealer/vendor it was purchased from.

However, the IQ Panel 2 was discontinued sometime ago and is likely no longer under warranty, which is usually 1-year from the manufacturer.

That being the case, a new panel would need to be purchased. To provide you with the correct information on a replacement, what is the part number of your panel? This can be found on the back of the unit (possibly on the back plate). I assume your panel is working with 319.5MHz sensors, but I want to be sure.
