Backup Battery Location

I am getting multiple sensor battery faults on my Protection1 unit; but I cannot fing any batteries to replace. I have three separate Power Conversion units but they are not openable as far as I can tell. Are they meant to be just replaced or is the Battery Backup in the Main Panels (I have two panels, one in the Master Bedroom and the other in the utility room).

Intertek is the maker of those units.

Thanks for any help

I cannot fing any batteries to replace. I have three separate Power Conversion units but they are not openable as far as I can tell. Are they meant to be just replaced or is the Battery Backup in the Main Panels (I have two panels, one in the Master Bedroom and the other in the utility room).

Batteries aren’t found in the power supply plugs. Backup batteries for the alarm panel will be inside the panel housing.

What type of battery you need will be determined by the model of panel you have. Can you confirm the model of alarm panel you have? You can post a photo if you aren’t sure the model.

I have two.

That is a 2GIG Go!Control panel, GC2.

It uses the battery pack here:

If you have secondary TS1 touchscreen keypads, those may or may not have AAA battery backup depending on how old they are.

Thank You very much. I will order a unit today.

I replaced the battery and I am still getting the Lw Battery faults for all sensors. I did a power cycle removing the battery and turning of the unit from the circuit breaer panel. I set the date and time. After a few minutes after powering back up again, the faults came back. What to do next? Perhaps my secondary panel has batteries also? I checked and there are no batteries in the secondary panel.

Thanks for your support.

The battery referenced above is for the control panel itself not the sensors.

If the low battery alert is for the sensors, you would need to replace the batteries backing up the sensors. Are your sensors 2GIG wireless sensors or are they wired sensors connected to a 2GIG super switch takeover module?

Thanks for responding. I seem to be getting conflicting information. I believe I am wireless. The sensors are simple proximity sensors on the windows and doors; how they get power to work when the power goes off in my house, I don’t know.
Q1: Are your sensors 2GIG wireless sensors?: They don’t seem to be
Q2: or are they wired sensors connected to a 2GIG super switch takeover module?: I don’t know, what does the 2GIG super-switch look like and where would it be located?

I have a couple white boxes which plug in and also have two wires coming in from under the power outlet plate. I suspect that those wires would be to a battery backup?

So I found another large panel w antennas on it. Unit PN is 600-1021-95R, 600-1022-95R, etc. In the unit there is a large 12VDC Battery, AGM type from UPG.

I ask because wireless sensors have batteries in them and you would need to replace the battery in each one. Wireless sensors are bigger because they have a circuit board and battery inside. They can also be opened up to see the inside.

Wired sensors are usually smaller and just have a couple wires coming out of them that run to a panel or a takeover module. They typically can’t be opened up to see the inside. In this case you would replace the battery in the takeover module.

Can you post a close up pic of 1 or a few of the sensors?

That’s a wired sensor.

In the 2nd pick of the Concord 4 panel, it looks like that might be a 2GIG takeover module in the bottom right corner of the pic partially off the screen. Can you confirm?

If that’s the case then it would be the battery in that pic (Universal Battery AMG type) that you need to replace. The sensors themselves don’t use power or have a battery but the takeover module does.

Here’s a general battery guide that has some links on where to find them.
