Backup and transfer settings

Ah yes, sorry I missed that one.

I am not 100% certain on Zwave siren compatibility yet. I’ll check with 2GIG.

Sounds good, thank you.

Have you heard the siren on the GC3? Is it just me, or is it significantly quieter than on the GC2?

Yes, it is a bit different in tone, but has the same Decibel rating as the GC2.

2GIG recommends the Fortrezz or Everspring Z-wave Siren (same as for GC2)

Thank you!

Any idea if the Aeotec siren is compatible?

2GIG confirms that that siren will work with the GC2 Panel as well as the GC3.

Great! Thank you, Tyler.

The panel had been on AC for 2 days now. Last loss of AC (according to the log) was March 26. The battery icon wasn’t flashing, it was just stuck on the battery with lightning bolt. I just tried unplugging it…it went into battery mode and then when I plugged it back in, it went into the correct charging mode with the flashing battery icon. I will check again when I get home to make sure it is back to the AC icon. I wonder why that happened…and hope it didn’t damage the battery Sounds like it was just showing the charging icon. I highly doubt there would be a physical issue with the battery, it is more likely a launch bug that shows the charging icon after the battery is fully charged.

Ever since installing the GC3 I have noticed the same behavior. It never shows the AC plug icon and always shows the battery charging icon. Has anyone else noticed this behavior or is it a confirmed bug? or is something else possibly wrong.

I have not noticed it myself, but you can test the battery by unplugging the power for 15-20 minutes, then plug back in. Does the icon remain on the battery charging?

When it happened to me, unplugging from power and rebooting the panel solved the issue. It hasn’t come back since.

As an update, I followed the recommendations above. I unplugged the AC power with the battery still plugged in for about 5 minutes. I plugged the AC power back in and the charging icon came on. Eventually it went to the AC plug icon which I guess corrected the wrong icon being displayed.

I’ve tried to get the Aeotec Siren to work on a GC2 and a GC3 panel and i could not get it to work. I’ve also talked with 2GIG about this as well on multiple occasions. Really want this to be coded into the systems… If indeed someone does get this to work, i’d love to know how. But as far as i know, it does not work at this time until it gets hardcoded in.

Really want the Danalock too.

Also, I’ve had issues with restoring sensors from GC2 to GC3 as well. Couldn’t get it to work.
