Alarm.com’s Give Back, Get Back is launching for Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) customers.
Receive a $50 incentive when you enroll, along with an additional $25 each year you participate.
What is SWEPCO’s Bring Your Own Device program?
- When temperatures climb, demand for electricity increases and can cause strain on the grid. SWEPCO’s Bring Your Own Device program is designed to help reduce energy use during times of high energy demand. This decreases the use of less efficient and more expensive power sources. That’s good for the environment, and it helps keep energy costs low for everyone.
- Participants agree to brief adjustments of 4 degrees or less to their thermostats during peak electric demand periods from June 1st – September 30th. Adjustments to your thermostat typically last no more than four hours.
- Events may be called outside of program dates during cases of extreme weather or critical need on the electric grid
- Adjustments will typically occur between 1-7pm CT, but may occur between 6am-10pm CT for emergency events.
- Participants will receive a one-time $50 gift card (limit one per household) after successfully enrolling in the program. In addition, participants will receive a $25 gift card per device enrolled each year following the anniversary of their enrollment in the program.
